Farewell to Msgr Henryk Jagodzinski, First Counsellor, Apostolic Nunciature, Delhi

Sunday July 15, 2018 was a special day, as on that day His Excellency Giambattista Diquattro, Apostolic Nuncio, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, Secretary General, CBCI, Bishop Kuriakose B, Bishop of Faridabad, priests and religious felicitated Msgr Henryk Jagodzinski at the CBCI Centre.

Msgr Henryk Jagodzinski is presently the first Counsellor at the Apostolic Nunciature, Delhi. He has been transferred to Montenego. Montenego is a sovereign state in Southeastern Europe. He has been entrusted with a very important responsibility of opening the Apostolic Nunciature in that country.

Msgr Henryk served for many years at the Apostolic Nunciature, Delhi. He was very helpful, kind and extended every assistance and guidance whenever his help was sought.

At the farewell lunch hosted for Msgr Henryk J, Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro and Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas paid rich tributes to the many qualities of Msgr Henryk. While thanking him profusely, they were sure he would do a very good job in montenego. Fr. Jervis D’Souza, the Deputy Secretary General proposed a vote of thanks.

Monday July 16, 2018 at the Nunciature, a few bishops, priests, religious, the staff of the Nunciature and some friends of Msgr Henryk gathered to wish him a fond farewell. The dinner hosted by Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro was a very touching farewell for Msgr Henryk, as many recollected his pleasant personality, his helpful nature and the vast knowledge, which Msgr Henryk possessed.

Msgr Henryk in his reply said that we must never lose our focus of Jesus. Wherever we go we build His kingdom. While assuring us of his prayers, he asked those present for their prayers.
