CATHOLIC YOUTH LEADERS RECEIVE TRAINING IN AGRA

 

As many as 91 youth leaders from 11 dioceses of Agra region participated in the 19th programme for trainers at Gyan Deep, the newly inaugurated pastoral centre of the Diocese of Jaipur, from November 21 to 23. 

 

The theme of the programme was "launch into deep" (LK 5:4). Rev. Oswald Lewis, Regional Chairman of the Youth Commission and also the host diocese, inaugurated the programme.

The participants were welcomed to the Pink City in traditional Rajasthani style. The inaugural programme followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

 

The entire training programme was designed by Fr Deepak Thomas KJ OCD, Executive Secretary CBCI Council for Youth, incorporating the methodology of "Fun, Process, Motivation and Reflection". 

 

IMG-20181123-WA0005.jpgThe sessions included inputs, workshops, and evaluation of the activity. The youth were kept involved in the workshops and made to reflect on the need to launch into deep in order to become better persons and good animators. 

 The programme culminated with a ceremony, which included distribution of prizes to winners of the Youth Sunday Competition and a power-packed cultural evening. 

 

The third day of the event was dedicated to the regional council meeting, while a site seeing trip was organised for those not part of the council.
