Web Portal for Registration of Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana Launched
New Delhi (CBCI News): The online registration of social security scheme of unorganized workers named Mmazdoor Suraksha Yojana (MSY) of Workers’ India Federation has been inaugurated by Shri D.P. Singh ,Regional Labour Commissioner, Ministry of Labour & Employment ,Govt. of India during the two- day consultation of Diocesan Labour directors, held on 14th and 15th at NISCORT, Ghaziabad, NCR- Delhi,
Workers India Federation is a legal and coordination federation of Catholic Bishops’ Conference if India‘s labour related initiatives. It has helped by establishing Workers Facilitation Centers (WFC) to facilitate the enrollment of informal sector workers into ‘RSBY ‘ and “SWAVALAMBAN” schemes of Central Government along with education aid for workers children, death compensation under the scheme of Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana (MSY) and bridging of the gap between jobseekers and job providers through its webportal called www.jobtech.in.
The two-day consultation was presided over by the Chairman Bishop Oswald Lewis, who reminded the participants the duty of diocesan labour directors to continue to work the cause of the workers with whole hearted attention and dedication.
The main topics of sessions and resources persons were ‘Unorganised workers in the perceptive of Governments ‘by Dr. M.M. Rehman , V. V. Labour National Institute, ‘Cash transfer & its implications’ by Mr. Vonod Simon, Program Manager, National Association of Street Vendors of India, ‘Role of Media in the movement of Unorganised workers ‘ Rev. Dr. George Plathottam, Director, NISCORT.
The input sessions included presentation of a study paper on migrant issues of north east people in Delhi was presented by Dr. Babu P.Ramesh, IGNOU, a Symposium on ‘The Un organized workers and financial inclusion ‘’ led by Mr. P. J. Raju, Secretary INTUC, Mr. Gautam Mody, New Trade Union Initiative (NTUI), Sr.Dr. Lissy Joseph,NDWM and Mr. Shashi B. Pandit (GS- All India Kabadi Mazdoor Mahashangh).
